Course Details
A 2-day course, 6 hours per day (12 hours in total), delivered as a hands-on workshop with a capstone project. Beginner to Intermediate level, no AI background required. Learners take home a marketing prompt library, a marketing assistant (Custom GPT/Gem), content calendar and campaign plan templates, and a brand safety, copyright and PDPA checklist.
Day 1: AI and Marketing Work and Content Production
Section 1: How AI Changes Marketing Work
- An overview of generative AI in marketing and what changes in the workflow
- AI use cases in marketing: research, content, ads, SEO, social and customer service
- Choosing the right AI tool (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) for each task
- AI limits and a verification mindset before publishing
Section 2: Effective Prompts for Marketers
- A good prompt structure for marketing: role, target audience, context and output format
- Setting brand voice and tone of voice so AI produces on-brand work
- Using examples and few-shot to keep style consistent
- Building a team prompt library for recurring work
Section 3: Market Research and Customer Insight with AI
- Using AI to analyze market, competitors and trends
- Building customer personas and customer journeys from available data
- Summarizing insight from reviews, comments and surveys
- Workshop: build a customer persona and insight summary for the learner's brand or product
Section 4: Content Creation with AI
- Writing many content formats: articles, social posts, emails and captions
- Writing ad copy that fits the target audience with clear selling points
- Repurposing one piece of content into many channels, and adjusting tone, translation and length
- Workshop: produce a content set for one campaign (posts, email and ad copy) with AI
Section 5: Visual and Creative with AI
- Creating illustrations and banners with AI image generation
- Writing short-video scripts and storyboards with AI
- Using Canva and AI design tools to produce graphics fast, and keeping visual style on-brand
- Workshop: design an image and short-video script for the learner's campaign
Day 2: Campaigns, SEO, Automation and Analytics
Section 6: Campaign Planning and Strategy with AI
- Using AI to help plan campaign strategy and the marketing funnel
- Building a content calendar and posting plan
- Generating campaign ideas, themes and A/B testing approaches
- Keeping messaging consistent across channels (omni-channel message)
Section 7: SEO, AEO/GEO and Social with AI
- Using AI to find and group keywords and outline SEO articles
- AEO/GEO concepts to make content that AI search and assistants pick up
- Adapting content to each social platform
- Workshop: outline an SEO article and a social post set from target keywords
Section 8: Marketing Automation and Assistants
- Building a Custom GPT or Gem as an on-brand marketing assistant
- Embedding brand guidelines and business rules for consistent results, shared across the team
- An overview of automation with n8n, such as summarizing comments or queuing content
- Workshop: build one marketing assistant for a task the team repeats every week
Section 9: Analytics and Reporting with AI
- Using AI to analyze campaign data and summarize key points
- Reading results and finding insight from numbers (engagement, reach, conversion)
- Preparing executive marketing reports that support decisions, with cautions on interpretation
- Workshop: analyze a sample campaign dataset and summarize it into a one-page report
Section 10: Brand Safety, Copyright and PDPA
- Brand risks when using AI: accuracy, tone of voice and misinformation
- Copyright of AI-generated work and how to use it safely
- Customer data and PDPA: what can and cannot go into AI
- Setting the marketing team's AI usage guideline
Section 11: Capstone Project and Real-world Adoption
- Task: plan the learner's marketing campaign end to end with AI, from persona, strategy and content to visuals and a measurement plan
- Present the work and get feedback from the instructor and peers
- A first-30-days adoption plan and setting up AI use for the whole marketing team
