Course Details
A 2-day course, 6 hours per day (12 hours in total), delivered as a hands-on workshop with a capstone project. Beginner to Intermediate level, no AI background required. Learners take home a framework-based prompt library, a consulting assistant (Custom GPT/Gem), proposal, report and slide templates, and a data-verification and PDPA checklist.
Day 1: AI for Research, Proposals and Reports
Section 1: AI in Business Consulting Work
- An overview of generative AI in consulting work and what changes in the process
- AI use cases: research, analysis, proposals, slides, presentations and meeting summaries
- Choosing the right AI tool and a use frame that always verifies data before use
Section 2: Prompts and Analytical Frameworks
- A good prompt structure for consulting work: role, problem, data and output format
- Having AI work with frameworks such as SWOT, value chain and issue tree systematically
- Building a prompt library for recurring work
Section 3: Research, Analysis and Benchmarking
- Using AI to help research, gather and summarize data and do basic benchmarking
- Analyzing data and finding insights while verifying sources and numbers before use
- Workshop: build a research summary and analyze a business problem with AI
Section 4: Writing Proposals and Reports
- Using AI to help write proposals and client reports systematically
- Structuring content, executive summaries and clear recommendations
- Workshop: draft a proposal or report with AI
Section 5: Building Slides and Presentation Prep
- Using AI to help outline slides, draft content and order the storyline
- Preparing presentation points, likely questions and confident answers
- Workshop: build a slide outline and presentation storyline with AI
Day 2: Meeting Summaries, Assistants, Administration and Automation
Section 6: Meeting Summaries and Action Plans
- Using AI to summarize meetings and workshops into clear points and conclusions
- Building action plans with owners and deadlines and tracking progress
- Workshop: build a meeting summary and action plan with AI
Section 7: Chatbots and Consulting Assistants
- Building a Custom GPT or Gem as an assistant working to the team framework and standards
- Embedding knowledge, work samples and guidelines for consistent, on-standard results
- Workshop: build one consulting assistant for frequent tasks
Section 8: Documents and Administration
- Using AI to help with documents, service proposals and coordination with clients and the team
- Managing team knowledge and templates systematically
- Managing data and documents systematically, being careful with sensitive data
Section 9: Consulting Automation with n8n
- Setting up automation with n8n, such as collecting data, drafting documents and tracking work
- Connecting data across tools and channels with access control
- Workshop: design one simple automation flow for consulting work
Section 10: Accuracy, Confidentiality and PDPA
- Verifying AI-generated data and numbers (hallucination) before using with real clients
- Keeping client confidentiality: what can and cannot go into AI and masking confidential data
- Personal data under PDPA and setting the team's AI usage guideline
Section 11: Capstone Project and Real-world Adoption
- Task: set up an end-to-end AI toolkit for the learner's consulting work, from research and analysis to proposals, slides, an assistant and meeting summaries
- Present the work and get feedback from the instructor and peers
- A first-30-days adoption plan and setting up AI use for the whole team
